Cookies are electronic packets of information that a Web page gives out to visiting Internet users. Cookies have many uses, the most common of which lets Web pages offer custom information to its visitors. For example, while viewing a specific Web page, you may be asked to provide your name and a few comments about your personal interests. The next time you visit that page, you may be presented with a welcome message that includes your name and content specific to your personal interests.
